Attendees at the 2020 Vidor Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Banquet held last Thursday at the Woods Plaza Event Center raise their hands as Congressman Brian Babin asks who suffered flood damage in their homes.

The Vidor Chamber of Commerce seems to have picked a winning combination for attracting non-chamber citizens to their annual membership banquet. That combination is lots of good food from a variety of local chefs and an in-demand featured speaker.

There were a wide variety of dishes offered at the banquet from cooks and chefs at Mutt and Jeff’s, Bar-BQ Depot, Rikenjaks Grill & Brewing Company, New York Pizza and Pasta, Ming’s Buffet, Wright’s Bar-B-Q, Señor Toro, Jimmy Nicks Food Truck and Mission Grounds “Coffee”. And according to everyone who offered an opinion, the offerings were all delicious.

And the food was not the only draw that filled nearly every sheet covered chair in the house, the featured speaker for the evening was none other than our own 36th Congressional District Congressman Brian Babin, who was slightly delayed but still managed to arrive in time for an informative presentation.
