Vidor City Council lauded the Vidor Chamber of Commerce’s continuing progress following the organization’s quarterly council report presented by Chamber representatives Atasha Quebedeaux, left, and Hal LaPray, right.

Vidor City Council heard both good and bad news during their regular meeting Thursday at Vidor City Hall.

First, the Vidor Chamber of Commerce presented their quarterly report to council members.

“I feel like we are getting there,” said Chamber President Hal LaPray. “Our membership is up and there is more participation in our public activities.”

“I think you are on the right track,” Mayor Kimberly Steibig agreed. Steibig said she could see the increase in participation by members and the public.

“I was very pleased with the Christmas participation. It was just incredible and city hall looks really incredible. It looks wonderful and I have received a lot of comments.”
