Vidor bank is robbed

Bank surveillance video captured this image of the man who robbed the First Financial Bank in Vidor on Wednesday morning. He is wearing a zip front grey hoodie and what appeared to be blue sweat pants. The robber was about six feet tall and could weigh around 225 pounds. A lone bandit robbed a bank in Vidor late Wednesday morning of last week.

According to a news release issued by the Vidor Police Department on Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 11:38 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18th, the Vidor Police Department Dispatch Center received a call of a robbery that had just occurred at First Financial Bank at 906 N. Main Street.

“According to witnesses who spoke to the police, an African-American male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, with a shaved head, wearing a gray zip up hoodie and navy blue sweat pants, who was approximately sixfoot tall and appeared to weigh around 225 pounds, entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect did not display a firearm but motioned to his pocket. The robbery suspect left the teller lobby in the rear of the bank with an unspecified amount of cash and moved swiftly to the north along N. Main Street. No one was physically injured during the robbery,” stated the news release.
