Run game leads to Vidor Pirates Grey victory

The Pirate ship sailed into Little Cypress to put on a six-touchdown

scoring clinic, as the Vidor Pirates Grey football team beat the LC-M Green team 41-6 in the Southeast Texas Junior Football League this past Saturday.

The Pirate running game dominated with 8.6 yards per carry for 250 yards on 29 carries and five touchdowns, while the defense forced four turnovers.

It took less than 15 seconds for running back Jordan Verde to take the Jett Brucia handoff through the defensive line crossing linebackers to blaze past the secondary in route to a 55-yard Pirate touchdown with 9:46 left in the first quarter.
