The TXDOT “Separating your Debris” graphic is similar to the FEMA Debris Collection Graphic pictured in last week’s The Vidor Vidorian with two exceptions. No bagged debris in opaque bags will be picked up by TXDOT; use clear plastic bags for storm debris. And TXDOT will not collect normal household trash including spoiled foods from your flood-damaged refrigerator. Take that garbage to the Citizen’s Collection Station near the closed landfill on F.M. 1442.

Process of debris collection is slowly expanding

The long awaited Imelda storm debris removal has begun in Orange County. Last week, the Orange County Commissioners’ Court authorized the Orange County Road and Bridge Department to utilize some of their dump trucks and loaders to begin storm debris collection in Orange County.
