There are six curves on Lost Lake Lane east of Vidor. Texas Department of Public Safety crash investigators did not indicate which curve on that road was the location of the crash that injured two Vidor women early Monday morning.

Sometime after midnight on Monday morning two women from Vidor were injured when the all-terrainvehicle (ATV) on which they were riding, overturned on a rural county road between Doty Road and Claiborne-West Park.

According to Sergeant Stephanie Davis of the Beaumont District Office of the Texas Department of Public Safety, “At approximately 12:45 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) responded to a crash involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on Lost Lake Lane in Orange County.

The initial TXDPS crash investigation indicates that a Polaris ATV/Side-By-Side vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed as it entered a curve in the roadway. The driver lost control of the vehicle and both occupants fell out of the vehicle. The ATV landed on top of the passenger before coming to rest.

The driver, 21-yearold Delena Flowers of Vidor, sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.
