Vidor’s retail sales continue climb in latest report

Vidor’s latest sales tax allocation indicates the city’s retail sales continue as Orange County’s bright spot, with both monthly and year to date sales totals higher than last year. Compared to last August, the city received a healthy seven percent increase in allocations while year to date numbers are up more than three percent.

Bridge City also saw an increase in its August allocation, up more than three percent, but year to date allocations are about three percent behind 2018’s total.
