Rain delays VHS Class of 2019 Commencement

A group of Vidor High School students who have had more than their share of Mother Nature’s wrath had to deal with one last deluge before their graduation last Friday. A gully-washer of a thunderstorm dropped out of the sky just three hours before the Class of 2019 scheduled beginning of Commencement of 7:00 p.m. at the Lamar University Montagne Center.

Because of the pouring rain, the doors were opened early for arriving grads, but a number of seniors checked-in sopping wet but eager to reach their milestone. The rains also caused traffic tie-ups adding to family travel time from Vidor to the Montagne Center.
