Pirate Soccer well represented in Senior Showcase

The 10th annual SETX Senior Showcase held Friday in Port Neches featured the best high school senior soccer players in the area pitting dozens of All-District to All-State 4A-6A players from area schools in an East-West battle for bragging rights.

Vidor’s soccer program was well represented with seven players, two Pirates and five Lady Pirates, participating on the East team.

The girls’ East team was comprised of players from Cleveland, East Chambers, Nederland, Port Arthur Memorial, Port Neches Groves and Vidor and was coached by Nederland’s Aaron Tomplait.

The girls’ West team was coached by Lumberton’s Jason Hopson and was comprised of players from Bob Hope, Crosby, East Chambers, Galena Park, Hamshire Fannett, Jasper, Lumberton, Texas City and Westbrook.
