Sitting mayors win against challengers

City of Vidor Mayor Kimberly Steibig won her race for Mayor of Vidor in last Saturday’s City of Vidor Municipal Election.

Incumbent School Trustees return to office

After a long day of campaigning at the polls on Saturday, appointed and incumbent candidates Kimberly Stiebig, Jane Hill and Cathy Nagel won their races, all with landslide victories, in the School Board and Municipal Elections held last weekend.

In the City of Vidor Municipal Election, appointed Mayor Kimberly Stiebig defeated her opponent Ken Crawford by winning 277 votes over Mr. Crawford’s total of 100 votes for a percentage win of 73.47%.

The other contested race in the City of Vidor Municipal Election saw incumbent Ward Six City Councilperson Jane Hill challenged by medic and firefighter Ken Luce. Ms. Hill won in a landslide by defeating her challenger 256 votes to 104 votes for a 71.11% percentage.
