Train collides with truck in Rose City

The train’s locomotive did suffer some minor damage during its collision with an 18-wheeler that was stuck on the KCS rail tracks on Tuesday.

Fortunately no one was hurt in the truck/train collision on Mockingbird Street in Rose City on Tuesday.

A truck-tractor, stuck on a railroad track in Rose City, was hit by a freight train that could not stop in time to avoid a collision. No one was hurt in the collision.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Stephanie Davis, shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9th, an eighteenwheeled truck-tractor pulling a flatbed trailer was turning north on Mockingbird Street at Old Highway 90 West in Rose City. Witness told investigators the when the truck crossed the KCS railroad track near Old Highway 90 West, the flatbed trailer got stuck on top of the tracks.
