Pirate soccer team showing improvement

Graduation hit the Vidor Boys Soccer team hard with nine of 11 starters from 2018 graduating. January was a busy time for the team with two tournaments and three non-district games completed before district play kicked off January 29.

While this year’s team is still gaining experience, they have already entered district play with two games completed.

The Pirates opened district play against Cleveland with a 4-0 loss and Friday, at Pirate Stadium, the Pirates gamely battled the district leading Dayton Broncos, losing 4-1.
