Red Cross provides more than $13 million in Harvey relief

The director of the local chapter of the American Red Cross in Orange, Chester Jourdan presented a summary of the charitable organization’s effort to provide assistance to Orange County victims of Hurricane Harvey during this week’s meeting of the Orange County Commissioners’ Court.

The executive director of the American Red Cross of Southeast and Deep East Texas, Chester R. Jourdan presented a report to the Orange County Commissioners Court on Tuesday reviewing the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Harvey short and long term recovery efforts for the past year.

Mr. Jourdan introduced several Red Cross officials and volunteers who made the actual informational presentations to the Court. Clint Bidwell, a Red Cross volunteer from Oregon, who was deployed to the Texas Gulf Coast last July.
