Pirates still looking for first district win in basketball

On December 21, the Pirates played Memorial, (3-1), in Port Arthur and came away with a 72-62 loss and January 4, the Pirates hosted Barbers Hill, (3-0), for a 67-45 loss.

The Pirates played the Eagles close early, but began to fall behind and could not catch up.

Score by quarter was: 22-21 BH after 1, 35-26
