County approves tax abatements for Vidor Pride & Progress homeowners

Orange County Precinct #4 Commissioner Robert Viator’s previous experience a Mayor of Vidor came in handy at his second meeting of the Orange County Commissioners’ Court. Viator was able to explain Vidor’s Pride & Progress program to the new members of the Court.

On Wednesday, the Orange County Commissioners’ Court granted tax abatements on Orange County ad valorem taxes to nineteen Vidor homeowners who have qualified for Vidor City tax abatements under the Vidor “Pride and Progress” program.

Those Vidor property owners being granted county tax abatements include Tori Graham, Rodney White, Joseph & Elizabeth Fisher, Larry & Peggy Hall, Clint Mahana, Christopher Parker, McPayne Real Estate, L.L.C., Critical Path Construction, Rock Builders, Buel & Elizabeth Sauls II, Lina R. Swinney, Alvert Paul Boudreaux, Jr. & Sarah Lois Boudreaux, Susan M. Maines, Joyce Parker, Joseph Donald, Jr. & Iris Jeane LaBorde, Jonathan Theriot, Chad Burns, Kendra Burks and Shannon G. DeVillier. These property owners will see one hundred percent of their County property taxes abated for two years with a decreasing graduated percentage of abatement of Orange County ad valorem property taxes for each of the five years that followed.
