Titans too much for Pirates

Lady Pirate Chriseline Quirante is fouled by a Lady Titan as she jumps for a shot Friday.

The Port Arthur Memorial Titans were too much for the Vidor Pirates to handle in Port Arthur Friday as the Pirates fell behind early and were never able to catch up.

Outscored 17-11 in the first quarter, the Pirates were behind 10 at the half, 37-27.

The Titans and Pirates matched points in the second half with 14 each in the third period and 21 each in the fourth which allowed the Titans to maintain the same 10 point advantage and claim the 72-62 win.
