Blue Santa hopes you don’t forget to drop off

Blue Santa wants to have a full bag of toys like this when parents come to the police station to pick-up their children’s Christmas toys in less than two weeks. Please remember to drop your donation at any of the drop-off locations listed in the story.

Although the police officers and civilian helpers of the “Operation Blue Santa Toys For Tots Christmas Toy Collection Drive” are thankful to those generous Vidorians who remembered the less fortunate children of Vidor during their Black Friday shopping adventures, they haven’t seen a corresponding increase in new toy donations at any of the Blue Santa Toy Drop Off Box locations.

“We are sure people remembered us while shopping,” said Captain Aleta Cappen. “And we understand that dropping off may require an extra trip. But we are asking our donors to bring their new, unwrapped toys to any of our drop-off boxes at any Dollar General Store, at H & H Gymnastic Center, at Woogies Sandwich Shop or in the lobby of the Vidor Police Department on East Railroad.”

Captain Cappen reminds our readers that there is only a short time left, less than two weeks, for the Vidor Police officers to collect more than two-hundred new toys for Vidor children ages newborn through age 12.
