Time runs out on Pirates in 38-32 loss

It was another hard fought game filled with missed opportunities that wasn’t decided until the final moments Friday as the Vidor Pirates lost to the Port Neches Groves Indians 38-32 at The Reservation.


PNG opened up the scoring just 52 seconds into the game after the Pirates attempted an onside kick the Indians covered on the 42. The Indians covered the 58 yards in five plays with Indian QB Roschon Johnson scoring both the TD and two point conversion to make the score 8-0.
