Thomas “Tommy” L. Bean

Thomas “Tommy” L. Bean, 79, of Vidor, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on November 24, 1938, to Epsie Ann Strawther Bean and Robert Floyd Bean, Sr., in Trout Creek and was a United States Air Force veteran. Tommy was a retired automobile dealer and co-owner of Buddy Chevrolet and also owner of Tommy Guns. Survivors include his wife, Sadie Bean; son, Cory Lamar Bean and his wife, Debbie, of Montgomery; daughter, Julie Bean Lightfoot and her husband, Jerry, of Vidor; grandchildren, Blake Bean and his wife, Morgan; Brock Bean; Brett Bean; Reagan Lamar Lightfoot; Luke Lightfoot; Leah Lightfoot; and Ava Lightfoot; an aunt, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert F. Bean, Jr.; and sister, Juanita Rodich. A gathering of Mr. Bean’s family and friends was held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service was at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Turning Point Church, 3600 North Main Street, Vidor. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor.
