Voters reject three incumbents

Orange County voters decided they want new faces on the Orange County Commissioners Court. During this week’s Orange County Republican Party Primary Election, the voter chose not to nominate, Orange County Judge Brint Carlton, Orange County Precinct #2 Commissioner Barry Burton and Orange County Precinct #4 Commissioner Jody Crump to be their candidates for reelection next fall. Voter turnout was light in the primaries with fewer voters casting ballots than did in the last non-presidential primary election.

One of the Republican challengers won their nomination by only four votes, while another Republican challenger won his nomination by a wide seventy percent majority.
