Bruins too much for Pirates

By Randall Luker

The West Brook Bruins proved too much for the Vidor Pirate varsity baseball team to handle Tuesday in Vidor with an 8-1 win after seven innings.

West Brook scored first in the top of the third and Vidor’s lone score in the bottom of the fourth made it a one run game 2-1 to start the fifth inning, but it was all Bruins after that with the Bruins scoring three runs in the 55h, one in the 6th and two in the 7th to seal the lopsided win.

The Bruins had 9 hits with no errors while the Pirates managed three hits with one error.
