Pirate soccer moves up to third with win over PAM

By Randall Luker

The varsity Pirate soccer team moved into third place after a Tuesday night home win over the Port Arthur Memorial Titans. A rain soaked field hampered play with all goals coming in the second half. Vidor scored first with less than two minutes gone on a Dylan Houseman score to put the Pirates up 1-0. Again, at 31:57, Pirate Garret Healy scored to put the Pirates up 2-0.

Port Arthur avoided a shutout with a goal on a penalty kick late in the second half to end the scoring at 2-1 Vidor.
