Felons lead cops on a round robin chase

Vidor police officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit on Wednesday afternoon that took them to Beaumont and back again to Vidor.

The high-speed chase began shortly after 2:30 p.m. on December 27, when an officer on patrol who was stopped at red light spotted a man getting into a grey Trans Am in a parking lot up ahead on North Main Street. The officer believed that the man looked like a suspect who was wanted for arrest on an outstanding felony warrant, but wasn’t certain.
