Suspect arrested in South Vidor shooting

While details about last Tuesday’s shooting death of fifty-one year-old, Christopher Eric Sharpe of Vidor, remain sketchy, it appears that the Orange County Sheriff Office investigators have now determined that the shooting is a homicide.

Last week, on Thursday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to submit a probable cause affidavit to a judge, requesting that an arrest warrant on the charge of murder be issued for the arrest of thirty-one year-old, James Derrick McGlothlin of Vidor. The judge issued the arrest warrant and deputies began searching for McGlothlin on Thursday evening.
