A lesson in finding and catching bass

It was chilly with a twelve-knot northeast wind blowing across Big Sam Rayburn Reservoir as we launched my friend Randy Hicks’ bass boat. My son William was along on the trip as well as the featured guest. William, is a solid fisherman in his own right but was in need of some advanced bass fishing techniques. Randy is an advanced level tournament angler with many years of experience under his belt so I managed to get them hooked up for a lesson in pitching jigs and creature baits (definitely one of Randy’s strong points).
