UCCC reopens it’s doors for those in need

It was a devastating blow to the Vidor charity supported by a coalition of churches in the Vidor area. The floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey forced nine-inches of dirty, filthy storm runoff into the first floor of the building.

 

“We lost a bunch of resources that we keep on hand for our clients,” said Gayle Nagai, a UCCC volunteer. “You know most of the clothes we offered for our clients was contaminated with flood water or the resulting mold, so we had to get rid of them.
