County/Sheriff’s Employee Association reach agreement

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Employees Association has come to an agreement on a revised union contract extension of their 2009 collective bargaining agreement that will be in effect for the next two years.

The latest negotiation between the county and the Association took place on September 16, 2017 when offers and counter offers were tendered and Association representatives said they would take the latest offer back to their rank and file for the Association to consider and vote. Since that time word has come to the Orange County Commissioners Court that a majority of the members of the Association voted to agree to the latest offer and that majority voted yes on a revised contract extension.
