Vidor Pirates roll over Central Jaguars 42-21 in season opener

The Vidor Pirates’ 2017 football finally got underway Tuesday night with an impressive display on both sides of the ball as they cruised to a 42-21 district win over the Beaumont Central Jaguars. Vidor is now 1-0 in district while Central falls to 0-2.


Vidor looked to be in trouble early when Central’s QB Davis turned a third and long into an 80-yard pass completion to Ruffin for a touchdown that put the Jags up 7-0 with 8:02 left in the first period.
