Vidor kids back to school Tuesday

Harvey’s devastating floods put up to three feet of floodwater in Vidor Middle School and Oak Forest Elementary School. There is also lesser water damage in a few buildings of the Vidor High School campus.

According to Vidor I.S.D. School Superintendent Dr. Jay Killgo the damage at Vidor Middle School and Oak Forest Elementary School is catastrophic and will require a minimum of six months of renovation and refurnishing before the buildings can be used for teaching again.
