Anthony “Tony” Cormier, Jr.

Anthony “Tony” Cormier, Jr., 68, of Port Neches, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1949, in Port Arthur, to Doris Marie Comeaux Cormier and Anthony Calvin Cormier, Sr. Tony was a United States Army veteran. He retired from Huntsman after thirty years of service. Tony taught at Texas A&M University Fire School and Lamar Fire School for over thirty years. He was a Port Neches’ volunteer fireman and a reserve police officer for several years. Tony also worked as a bailiff for Judge Brad Burnett’s office in Precinct 7. He was a member of American Legion and was an avid fisherman. Tony enjoyed showing his 1934 Ford coupe in car shows across the country. Survivors include his girlfriend, Brenda Keasler of Vidor; sister, Nadine Crumpler of Port Neches; niece, Sherie Angelle and her husband, Kendall, of Orangefield; sons, Paul Morton and Jason Morton and his wife, Geneva, all of Vidor; and grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Jaron, Kayla, and Ronnie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Tony Cormier. A gathering of Mr. Cormier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m, Friday, August 25, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
