Vidor ISD child nutrition, Rotary deliver over seven hundred meals

Vidor ISD Child Nutrition and Vidor Rotary Club became partners in a brand new way this summer. They combined forces to provide free meals for twenty-three days, with the school making sure there were healthy meals ready and the Rotarians driving their green bus to deliver them.


The program began in early June and ended July 13 with the end of summer school in VISD. Now retired, Child Nutrition


Director Gracie Clark had spoken of her frustration in being able to offer meals free from USDA, but having few people visit the schools to take advantage. The Vidor Rotary Club stepped in and offered to deliver the meals, and the new program was born
