Roll Over Pass: The death of a great fishing spot

It was a sunny but blustery day last week as I stood on the edge of the Rollover Pass Bridge. The rough and muddy wind driven high tide was blasting through the pass with such force that there was a three foot drop in the water level on the East Bay side of the Highway 87 bridge that spans the middle of the pass. As far as I could see out over the Gulf of Mexico the water looked much the same color as Yoo-hoo Chocolate Drink and occasionally salt water would spray across the highway on the east side of the bridge.
