Windy spring fishing on Sabine Lake

It was 8:30 am and after sitting in the SGS Causeway Bait and Tackle store drinking coffee and swapping fishing stories we were finally about to launch the boat. The storms that had hit the area at daybreak had finally passed but it was still very overcast. The tide was blasting through the Causeway Bridge driven by the stiff south wind being pulled by a strong low pressure system ahead of an approaching cold front. The only bright spot so far, this day was that the rain and lightning had ended and maybe we could catch fish or at least try.
