Vidor ISD recognizes Pierce, LaPray as Employees of the Month

By Sally Andrews

When it comes to do their jobs, there are two Vidor ISD employees who not only do their own jobs well, but they do someone else’s well, too! Those ladies are Kerri Pierce and Deedra LaPray. Pierce is the Vidor ISD ELA curriculum coordinator, and LaPray is the Vidor High School librarian. Both are former English teachers and this semester, in addition to their own jobs, they filled in to teach English. For most of the semester, both of these ladies have done their own job in a half day, while teaching English for the other half. They were recognized at the Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, March 27 as Vidor ISD Employees of the Month for their roles as team players who really care for the students.

Vidor Junior High School’s Employee of the Month was Katie Williams, who serves as a Technology Applications Teacher and Brig sponsor.
