Deer hunting always an adventure

The Sabine River began to rise, again. This was the fifth time it had done so since October. Yet another four to five inch rain had landed on the already soaked ground and all of that water had nowhere to go but down hill. To compound the problem Toledo Bend Reservoir began to inch up over pool level from the rains up river. Toledo Bend is not a flood control Reservoir so when the level rises even a few inches above pool the Sabine River Authority opens the gates and allows the water to flow through.
