This year has been a fishing adventure

In the sixteen years that I have guided on Sabine Lake I have never seen a year quite like this one has been. “The rains came down and the floods came up”, to quote an old children’s Bible school song and fresh water dominated this normally salt water fishery. For a couple of weeks in February it was difficult to catch a box of trout, reds, or flounder.
