Pirates set records with 83-54 win over Baytown Lee Ganders

On a night where offensive fireworks were on display from the opening minute to the end of the game, Vidor’s Pirates set school records for most points scored in a half and most points scored in a game. With less than two minutes gone in the first quarter, the teams put up 27 points between them with Vidor leading 14-13. Fans began to jokingly question if 100 points could possibly be put on the scoreboard before all was said and done. The 100 mark was surpassed in the third quarter as the track meet continued in the second half.
