LCM crushes Vidor Ladies in three

By Dottie Britt

The Vidor Lady Pirates Volleyball program  begins this season a little slow but looking like a much different incarnation than ended the season last year. Coach Melissa Story encouraged girls to play summer ball, work camps and the hard work is showing on the court. They are putting up a hard fight for their opponents and not at all what has been expected in the past. Friday night the ladies hosted the LCM
Lady Bears who have a strong volleyball program. First match the Lady Pirates looked pretty strong. Senior Halea Sherman and Freshman Reagan Castilaw both had nice serves. Sophomore Clarissa Hagler did some nice digging out of the net but it wasn’t quite enough to pull out a win and the Ladies succumbed to the Bears 16-25.
