Vidor schools to receive major technology upgrade

The Vidor Board of Trustees voted on Monday night to spend about $1.6 million on technology infrastructure upgrades this year and next. The Board has been considering the district’s priorities in terms of both technology infrastructures and facility infrastructure since the beginning of the school year and has authorized the administration to compile information about the school district’s need in both areas. Last fall, Dr. Jay Killgo, Superintendent of Schools, decided to bring in a third party auditor to examine the district’s current technology infrastructure and measure the district’s technological strengths and weaknesses.
