Major road, drainage improvement projects to get underway

Two major infrastructure projects are slated to get underway this month in Vidor with both street and drainage improvements slated if the weather cooperates. The Schoolhouse Ditch drainage project will begin with the replacement of undersized culverts and crossings and the street project will see the complete rehabilitation of a portion of Old Highway 90 inside the city limits with more planned for this summer, says Vidor City Manager Mike Kunst. “The first Old Hwy 90 project should start sometime this month,” Kunst remarked.
