Water district seeks City’s help in finding grant

The Orange County Water Control and Improvement District #1 is working with the City of Vidor to apply for Community Development Block Grant Funding to replace private service lines on private property. According to Norman Blackman, OCWC&ID#1 manager, Water Control and Improvement Districts in the state are not authorized to apply for the federal funding to help private residents of low to moderate income replace their aging or leaking sewer service lines on their property.
