James David Werner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of Vidor, Texas, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, at the age of 72. Known for his adventurous spirit, unique sense of humor, and love for the simple joys of life, James touched the hearts of everyone he met and truly never met a stranger. James was a man of strong faith in God and led his family by example as an active follower of Jesus Christ. James is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Karen Werner of Vidor, TX; children Pamela Sanford of Brookeland, TX, James Michael Werner of New Braunfels, TX, and Melissa Leger of Huntsville, AR; brothers Eugene Phillip Werner Jr. of Vidor, TX, and Paul David Werner of Woodville, TX; and his 9 cherished grandchildren. He was also blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
