Joyce Elizabeth Chesser, 96, a lifelong resident of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Beaumont. She leaves a legacy of love, many cherished memories, and a model for a life well lived. Joyce was a faithful member of North Main Church of Christ, where she was actively involved in church activities. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and going to the salon, whether for herself or her little dog. Spending time with family was her dearest pastime. Joyce was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Dru Stewart of Prairieville, LA, Deana Findley of Vidor, TX, Randall Chesser of Vidor, TX, and Lynn Chesser of Lufkin, TX. Joyce also leaves behind her sister Jeanell Peveto of Vidor, TX, and her brother Kenneth Stephenson of Shreveport, LA. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
