Jo “JoEllen” Garrett, 68, of Vidor, passed away on July 14th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Born in Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime Vidor resident and member of First Baptist Church. JoEllen worked for Flair Realty and was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved her dogs, Mattie Jo and Miley Jo, and was known for her fantastic cooking.
JoEllen is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donny Garrett; children, Dennis Garrett and Dana McCoy; stepchildren, Brent Garrett (Kimberly) and Dallis Brown (Tray); brother, Manuel Pues; sisters, Sandra Garza and Jennifer Williams; and grandchildren, Braeden Garrett, Avery Coiner, Delani Brown, and Danni Garrett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rachel Pues; brothers, Randall and Michael Pues; and sister, Polly Pues. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Harbor Hospice House and Hermann Memorial.
