Mary Laura Fredieu, 66, of Fannett, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her home. Born on October 7, 1957, to Tommy Poole and Mary Moy Poole, Laura was a beloved member of the Fannett community. A graduate of Vidor High School, Class of 1976, Laura built a successful career in bookkeeping and retired from West Jefferson County Municipal Water District. She bravely fought a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenny Fredieu of Fannett, TX; brother David Poole of Beaumont, TX; and sister Linda Squires of Crystal Beach, TX. Laura also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Laura’s memory. Her kindness, love, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
