Jerry Dewitt, age 81, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on January 20th, 2024. Born on September 11th, 1942, Jerry was a proud lifelong resident of Vidor. On October 26th, 1962, Jerry entered into matrimony with his late wife, Joyce Dewitt, marking the beginning of a union that lasted until her peaceful passing on May 28th, 2022. Together, they shared 60 years of love, commitment, and countless cherished memories. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his daughter Shelley, son Douglas, 1 grandson, and two great-grandsons. A dedicated and hardworking individual, Jerry devoted 37 years of his life to Temple Inland before embracing a well-deserved retirement. His strong work ethic was surpassed only by his love for family. Jerry was a pillar of support for those he cared about, and his devotion to his family was unwavering. In his leisure time, Jerry found solace in the great outdoors.
