    The varsity Vidor Pirate basketball team is looking for its first district win after opening district play December 15 at West Orange Stark, losing 67-55. After that district opener, the Pirates went on to win 6 straight non-district games before another district game January 2nd hosting Silsbee for a lopsided 102-60 loss to the district leader.
