Charles Elton Harvey Sr., 86, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, January 7th, 2024. Charles was a longtime resident of Vidor. Charles was employed in maintenance at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he retired from the laundry department. He also worked as a crane operator for Laclede Steel. Charles had a passion for car racing, and every time the highway 90 race track opened, he was there, eagerly watching the races unfold. In addition to his love for racing, he was known for his caregiving nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and sense of humor endeared him to everyone he met. Funeral service were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Charles is survived by his children, Charles “Chuck” Harvey Jr. of Austin, TX, and Ginger Oulapour of Vidor, TX, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
