On May 9, 1970, a beautiful soul was born: Ami Elizabeth Pillow-Hall. She passed from this life unexpectedly on February 25, 2023. She was a passionate mother of three boys, Alex, Bret, and Caleb, who were her greatest treasures in life. Ami was an overcomer, encourager, and friend to all who knew her. She spent her energy loving people; a love that came unfiltered and without expectations. From the age of three, she took on a trademark she would be known for – beautiful blonde curls. That hair came with a smile so bright and contagious it could light up a room. And it did. Her specialty was to make others feel special. Ami found her joy in her grandchildren and fully embraced her role as “Mimi”. This drove Ami to take up the art of quilting, a gift passed down from her own grandmother… her inspiration. Ami loved and cared for her many animals; it was her dream to have lots of land with even more. She cherished her life and the people in it.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Vidor with interment to follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze.
Ami is survived by her children Alex Hall and fiancé Lexi Loller, Bret and wife Alana Hall, Caleb and wife Sarah Hall; her grandchildren Knox, Hendrix, and Anderson Hall; her mother Judy Pillow-Burke and husband Paul Burke; her brother Trent and wife Eva Pillow; and her sister in Christ Lisa Fisher. She is preceded in death by her father Sidney Pillow and grandparents Buck and Marjorie Revia.
