The Vidor Pirate varsity soccer team hosted the Silsbee Tigers Tuesday to open district play and after a defensive battle, a late score by Silsbee resulted in a 1-0 loss for Vidor.
In Friday’s game at Lumberton, neither team managed to find the back of the net and the game ended in a scoreless tie.
